Tuition for HSD is $6,000 per 16-week semester and $3,000 per 9-week semester, or $15,000 per year. Additional expenses include books, room and board. (The exact cost of room and board will depend upon the living arrangement selected by the individual student.) Scholarships and grants to cover part of these costs are available on a need basis. In addition, students are encouraged to take part-time jobs to help finance their education, if necessary. Experienced deaf job counselors who know the Chicago market will be available to help students with placement.
